About the Marketing Operations Lead

Verndale is looking for an experienced Marketing Operations Lead to define and grow our team, services, and capabilities. The qualified candidate will be tasked with becoming the ‘trusted advisor’ with our clients and thus expected to have a deep knowledge and understanding of all aspects of digital marketing. In this role, you will be comfortable with and capable of communicating the vision and benefits of various categories of digital marketing platforms and have hands-on experience with at least one platform in each category. You understand how these platforms enable marketing strategies and can communicate their advantages and disadvantages to both technical and non-technical audiences across all levels of our clients’ organizations. You will also be comfortable and capable of both planning digital marketing programs and executing them.

Responsibilities

 

 

  • Serve as the ‘trusted advisor’ for our clients by guiding them through the marketing platform planning and execution processes
  • Map out and execute on timelines to increase client digital marketing maturity.
  • Create and evolve Verndale's standard digital marketing processes and tool sets
  • Work with engineering teams to implement digital marketing platforms and customizations according to client needs. '
  • Devise, execute, and track the success of digital marketing campaigns on behalf of clients.
    • Manage product trainings and workshops
    • Provide on-going best practices advice and recommendations for the client
    • Develop project execution approach that ensures maximum customer success
  • Expand team to deliver on increasing demand for specific digital marketing platform services, identifying needs and working with the business to create roles as necessary to fill those needs.

Qualifications

  • 5-10 years of experience in technical marketing platforms (i.e. marketing automation, SEO tools/ platforms, email marketing, social media marketing, pay-per-click advertising, CRM, business intelligence, tagging management platforms such as Google Tag manager, Tealium, Omniture, etc.)
  • Deep working experience with digital agencies, system integrators or marketing service providers, highly preferred
  • Teamwork skills are a must, ability to build and manage a team of subject matter experts (SMEs)
  • Strong technical acumen; excellent communication and presentation skill required
  • Experience with Sitecore, Episerver, e-commerce platforms a plus
  • Track record of success in selecting, planning, and managing marketing technology stacks.
  • University / college degree required
