QA Lead Analyst

About the Quality Assurance Lead Analyst Position

The role of the Quality Assurance Lead analyst is all about building, improving and following the right processes to deliver quality to clients. This individual will be responsible for the creation, maintenance and evolution of QA policies, processes and overseeing/participating in all aspects of project testing. This person will establish quality assurance standards while following processes to support business cases and application requirements.

The QA Lead analyst will play a key mentorship and leadership role within the team, providing technical guidance to less senior QA team members.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in requirements and use case reviews.
  • Provide accurate estimates for QA resources and testing schedules.
  • Responsible for creating and gaining project approval on project test plans.
  • Responsible for creating and/or overseeing the creation and approval of project test cases.
  • Ensuring adherence to standardized QA policies, processes and documentation standards.
  • Responsible for identifying areas where automation testing could be implemented.
  • Responsible for implementing and guiding the team on how automation testing could be adopted.
  • Identify areas of improvement in the quality process.
  • Coordinate onshore and offshore testing.
  • Work as a partner with the development teams to improve delivery quality short and long term
  • Responsible for helping to mentor and develop other members of the QA team.
  • Generate accurate reports on the Quality Assurance status single projects as well as key themes across the project portfolio
  • Communicate and participate on different status report meetings, including meetings with other departments’ leaders.
  • Work closely with Team leads to maintain the highest possible level of communication surrounding the quality and the project development process.
  • Continually analyze and evolve the QA process as the organization continually evolves its services

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or similar AND/OR
  • 4 - 6 years of Web Application testing.
  • Experience having a leader position in QA department is a plus.
  • Experience building and improving standards for quality assurance.
  • Content Management Systems (CMS) testing experience.
  • Experience building/creating test automation scripts.
  • Courses and/or certifications that prove knowledge on:
    • Agile methodologies - Scrum.
    • ISTQB
    • Software testing
