As we continue to grow, we are looking for a new Senior Account Manager to join our team on this exciting journey!
In this role, you will work with a diverse client portfolio to ensure their long-term success. With an understanding of their business goals and objectives, you will work at the direction of your Group Account Director to develop and manage strategic account plans and corresponding roadmaps that will guide the relationship over time while simultaneously providing the daily oversight and client consultation necessary to keep their projects on track. Ensuring our clients are satisfied with the services we deliver is a fundamental element of the Senior Account Manager position.
Responsibilities
- Be a key point of contact for our clients as well as our internal leadership.
- Grow and mature the long-term strategy centered on our clients’ business goals and objectives, utilizing SMEs within Verndale and the client.
- Develop strong trusted relationships that make you the best internal and external advocate for our clients.
- Expand Verndale’s reach and influence within each account.
- Drive the lifetime value (LTV) and overall satisfaction (CSAT) of each client.
- Act with a sense of urgency to ensure you are addressing our client’s requests in a timely manner.
- Work closely with your Group Account Director to pitch new ideas and initiatives to clients.
- Support ongoing cross-team collaboration across various disciplines including Verndale’s strategy, creative, and delivery teams to help our clients achieve their goals.
- Provide the appropriate level of strategic oversight to ensure projects are successfully completed – properly, on time, on budget, and in alignment with strategy.
- Maintain high client satisfaction scores and retention rates.
- Ability to craft detailed account plans that help inform the overall direction of the program.
Qualifications
- 8-10 years of experience in the selling and delivery of digital experience and marketing projects, including websites, mobile applications, eCommerce technology, marketing automation, etc.
- Comfort with executive-level (including C-Suite) interactions and the ability to navigate contract negotiations and the occasional challenging conversation.
- Ability to manage at an account portfolio level and deliver concise reports and compelling presentations to key stakeholders.
- Previous experience in professional services will help you to learn, adapt and grow quickly.
- Patience and appreciation for organizations of different sizes including highly complex, tiered, political and geographically disparate locations
- Experience working with clients in B2B manufacturing or distribution is ideal.
- Experience with e-commerce to understand the complexity of the client’s business and be able to recommend new opportunities is a plus.
- Proven ability to recommend and apply industry and technical best practices.
- Strong contributor with high motivation and the ability to take initiative, set priorities and execute a plan.
- An effective communicator that is able to have clear conversations with clients and articulate their business needs back to the Verndale delivery team.
- Strong strategic selling skills. You know how to identify an opportunity, craft a solution and tell a compelling story.
- Ability to collaborate with multiple Verndale SMEs to allow you to attend and support onsite client workshops.
