About the Site Reliability Engineer role
As a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE), you will be responsible for implementing scalable, resilient, and high-performance architectures for client environments under the direction of a Technical Architect. You will collaborate with client stakeholders, from engineers to leadership, to develop solutions that enhance system reliability, security, and operational efficiency. Your role is focused on evaluation and technical execution, ensuring that environments align with best practices in cloud architecture, DevOps, and reliability engineering.
Responsibilities
- Implement Scalable and Resilient Systems: Implement fault-tolerant, high-availability solutions that meet both technical and business requirements under the direction of a Technical Architect. Participate in planning and evaluation processes.
- Guide Reliability and Performance Strategies: Follow and evaluate adherence to best practices for observability, incident response, automation, and performance optimization.
- Drive Cloud & Infrastructure Modernization: Under the direction of a Technical Architect, implement cloud migrations, infrastructure-as-code (IaC) implementation, and automation to improve scalability and efficiency.
- Optimize Performance & Availability: Under the direction of a Technical Architect, participate in reliability assessments, definition of service-level objectives (SLOs) and indicators (SLIs), and implement strategies to enhance uptime and system performance.
- Ensure Security & Compliance: Implement security best practices, including identity management, compliance frameworks, and data protection measures.
- Enhance CI/CD & Automation: Improve deployment pipelines and automation strategies to increase agility and reduce operational overhead.
Qualifications
- Experience: 4+ years in back-end development, site reliability engineering, cloud architecture, or DevOps.
- Technical Expertise:
- Strong experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP), with a preference for Azure.
- Deep knowledge of .NET technologies and modern web architectures.
- Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Pulumi, or ARM templates.
- Knowledge of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Experience with CI/CD automation using tools like Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins.
- Strong understanding of monitoring and observability tools like Prometheus, Grafana, New Relic, or Datadog.
- Knowledge of distributed systems, scalability, and high-availability architectures.
- Solid understanding of security best practices, including identity and access management, compliance, and encryption.
